Place Mode

Place Mode sets your iPhone to a fixed point — the fastest way to be somewhere else.

Set a location

Three ways to pick a spot:

• Click the map anywhere.
• Search an address, business, or place name. Results are biased toward the area you're currently looking at.
• Paste coordinates straight into the search bar — for example 40.71, -73.65.

The confirm step

By default, picking a spot drops a pending pin — your location doesn't change until you approve it. Prefer zero friction? Turn on Auto-confirm and the move happens the moment you click.

Ctrl+K command palette

Press Ctrl+K anywhere in the app for quick search and actions without touching the mouse.

Staying put

The location holds as long as the phone is tethered, survives app restarts, and if the cable drops UseAlibi re-applies it when the connection returns. Unplug to go back to your real location.
